We are thrilled to announce that KD Market is celebrating 25 years in business! It is with great pride and gratitude that we reflect on our journey and the incredible community that has supported us along the way.
Back in April of '98, my wife Olga and I took a leap of faith and opened up our first store, Krystyna's Deli, in Schiller Park. We had a dream to create a store where every Polish person living away from their homeland could find the flavors and products that were close to their hearts. With hard work and dedication, we have since expanded our business and opened three additional locations in Schaumburg (2000), Wheeling (2010) and our largest store yet in Mount Prospect (2017).
As we saw the growing popularity of our store in Schaumburg, we decided to expand it in 2008 and again in 2014 to a whopping 26,000 square feet. This allowed us to provide an even greater assortment of products from Poland and Eastern Europe.
As we've continued to grow and evolve over the years, we've changed the name of our store from Krystyna's Deli to KD Market, to reflect the changes we've undergone. We've transformed from a small local Polish deli to a large markets with a wide selection of fresh meats, deli meats, and cheeses, vegetable and fruit stands, refrigerators filled with traditional Polish delicacies, hot made from scratch meals, and a large selection of freshly baked pastries, the best pączki and homemade breads.
Looking back on the last 25 years, we are proud to have been a part of our community and to have shared our love of Polish cuisine and heritage here in the United States. It has been a privilege to bring a taste of our culture to our customers and to introduce them to the delicious flavors of Poland. We have always believed that food has the power to bring people together, and we have seen this firsthand in our stores. It is an honor to have been a part of so many special moments in our customers' lives, from family dinners to holiday celebrations.
Over the years, we have grown and evolved to better serve you, our customers. We have implemented new technologies, worked tirelessly to improve and expand our stores, from adding new departments to increasing the variety of products we offer, and most importantly, cultivated relationships with each and every one of you. Your loyalty and trust have been the foundation of our success, we are deeply grateful for your continued support.
As we celebrate this milestone, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to our customers, employees, suppliers, and business partners who have played a crucial role in our success. It would not have been possible without your loyalty and support, and we are grateful for the trust you have placed in us. As we look ahead to the future, we remain committed to providing delicious food and exceptional service, and to sharing our Polish heritage with all who walk through our doors. Thank you for being a part of our journey, and we look forward to many more years of serving you.
