We are proud to celebrate a very special milestone —
KD Market’s 28th Anniversary.
The story began in April 1998, with a small deli in Schiller Park and a simple, heartfelt dream — to create a place where Polish families living far from home could still find the flavors they grew up with and the products closest to their hearts.
What started as Krystyna’s Deli soon began to grow.
In 2000, a second location opened in Schaumburg, followed by Wheeling in 2010 and Mount Prospect in 2017 — each new store bringing the tastes of Poland and Eastern Europe to more communities.
As the Schaumburg location grew in popularity, it expanded in 2008, and again in 2014, becoming a 26,000 square foot market — a place where tradition met selection, and where customers could find even more of what they loved.
The journey continued with Crystal Lake in 2024 and Wood Dale in 2025 — the newest chapters in a story that has been growing for nearly three decades.
Along the way, the brand evolved too. From Krystyna’s Deli to KD Fresh Market — growing from a small neighborhood store into a full market filled with fresh meats, deli specialties, homemade meals prepared from scratch, freshly baked breads and pastries, and the pączki that so many have come to love.
But beyond the growth, something even more meaningful was built — a lasting connection with the community.
For 28 years, KD Market has been part of everyday life and special moments alike — from family dinners to holiday celebrations. A place where food brings people together, just as it always has.
Today, as this milestone is celebrated, one thing remains at the heart of it all — gratitude.
To the customers, employees, partners, and friends who have been part of this journey — thank you. Your loyalty and trust have shaped what KD Market is today.
And as the story continues, the commitment remains the same: to honor tradition, to serve with care, and to keep sharing the flavors that bring people together.
28 years together — and the story is still being written.
Sincerely,
Robert and Olga Wojciak,
Proud owners of KD Market stores.
